Open bore or grout injected

Sectional flight auger (SFA) piling is used when auger sections are drilled into the ground to achieve the required depth, they are attached one by one as each section is drilled, meaning working head height is greatly reduced. This can then either be removed and a reinforced cage inserted along with pouring concrete afterwards or if ground conditions are not so good we would inject grout down the hollow stems of the augers and remove one by one while injecting more grout as we go. This prevents the poor ground from caving into our pile hole whilst we are removing the augers. We then immediately place our reinforcement into the concreted pile.
